A fun story, especially if you enjoy pulp fiction, this action-based scifi adventure is a quick read. The premise is that earth has been overtaken by some big bad dudes from another planet, and it's up to our hero to save the day with some help from friendly aliens from yet another planet... I won't give away the story, but there's a little romance, some fighting, a bit of gore (not too much) and a trip through space to spice things up. This classic novel , first read years ago, happily holds up.
A very good read. I'd liked the pace ,I think it will appeal to most readers with an open mind.
I bought this by mistake thinking it was Giants IN the Earth. But I thought I would read it anyway. The writing is terrible! The story might not be so bad but I couldn't get past the writing to find out.
I was initally expecting this book to be an expose on evidence for the existence of giants in the fossil record, but found it to be a nice twist on science fiction/fictional history.
Very thought provoking. Dont necessarily believe it all but it does have some interesting things to consider. So if you like to dig into mysterious past events, this would be for you.
Don't care for fairy tales much.
